Thank you for taking the time to visit my web site. My name is Denise but most people call me Dee, thus came the name Dee's Petals.

I planned and designed my first wedding when I was about 19. (I wont say how old I am now). I always loved anything that was creative. Painting, drawing, scrapbooking, make up, etc. I attended college in Pasadena CA where I learned how to apply my creative desires as an art major. That is where I learned about color, balance, textures and so much more. Meanwhile, event planning although fun and challenging wasn't quite creative enough for me. So back to school I went for floral design. And guess what, this was it! This was what I longed for. It fullfilled the artistic desires I had. It was all very natrual to me, with many of the concepts being very similar if not exactly what I learned in college. So the end result is hapiness. Because .... being around flowers, well you cant help but be happy.

About me

I decided to create Dee's Petals because I knew this is what I was meant to do. I also knew that I couldn't do it alone. So I trained my best friend, my mom to work with me. I thought long and hard about this. I could have hired externally with someone that had experience but I really wanted my mom to work with me. She is a beautiful interior decorator, so I knew she would pick this up fast and this would be a way that we could spend more time together. It was the best decision I have made.

Every event is unique to us. We enjoy getting to know our clients on a more personal level because this allows us to create something taylored to their personal style.

Today we have created countless amounts of beautiful events all very unique. There is no greater feeling than at the end of the evening looking back at a room you just designed and knowing someone choose you for their special day.
